Running the rear cable properly
The rear camera cable is the fiddly part and the part that gives away a rushed job. We route it under the headliner and through the tailgate or boot loom, so it never sits loose across the cabin and never gets pinched when the boot closes.
4K at the front, wide angle at the back
The front camera records in 4K so number plates stay readable. The rear camera has a 150 degree view to cover the road behind. Both keep recording in parking mode once hardwired.
Hatchbacks, estates and saloons
Hatchbacks and estates take the longest because the cable has to pass into the tailgate. Allow about an hour. Saloons are usually quicker.
